A total of 220 participants from various international universities completed the 2nd International Student e-Exchange Programme (ISeEP) 2021, recently. Organised by the Faculty of Business (FOB), the participants were from Birla Global University, India; University of the Cordilleras, Philippines; Universitas Mercu Buana, Indonesia; Universitas Pakuan, Indonesia; Universitas Tarumanagara, Indonesia; Universitas Nahdlatul Wathan Mataram, Indonesia and Universitas Islam Riau, Indonesia. The opening and closing ceremonies of the ISeEP were graced by Prof. Dr. Ho Chin Kuan, Vice President of Academic and International Relations (VP AIR). Also attending the ceremonies were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Way Soong, Director of International Relation Office (IRO); Dr. Lye Chun Teck, Dean of FOB as well as deans from all co-organising universities.
With its theme, “Digitalisation and Social Sustainability: Nurturing Talents in the Digital Age”, the 19- day event featured many interesting activities such as sharing sessions, virtual site visits, social innovation workshops, and expert talks from co-organizing universities. On top of that, the participants also competed in the International Young Social Entrepreneurs Competition (IYSEC) during the programme.
Drawing its inspiration from the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ISeEP 2021 provides students with hands-on experience in working and communicating in a diverse environment. The main objectives of exchanging experience and sharing knowledge on social development matters to help achieve UN SDGs is the way forward for future aspiration. ISeEP 2021 also serves as an avenue to uphold the noble cause that each and every one of participants has the potential and ability to make an impact, one that will affect a person, a family, or a community and this will eventually make a good starting point to make this world a better place for all.
